500 houses collapse

    MAHABUBNAGAR: Over five hundred earthen houses have collapsed and many partially damaged due to incessant rain that lashed the district for past one week.

    Houses constructed with earth in Mahabubnagar, Kalwakurthy, Wanaparthy, Gadwal and Makthal constituencies were damaged though no causality was reported so far.

    According to official reports, over 30 earthen houses got damaged in Midgil mandal alone, while 80 houses have partially collapsed. The district that received deficit rainfall in June, received excess rainfall in July.
