AITUC protest on August 1

The All-India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has decided to hold protest demonstration on August 1 at RTC cross roads against the lathicharge on workers of Hero Honda company in Gurgaon.

AITUC general secretaries -- J. Venkatesh and Md. Yusuf -- in a press note on Thursday said that effigies of the Hero Honda management and Haryana Government would be burnt on the day.

Computers installed at bus station

New computers have been installed in the reservation and current booking counters at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station.

The computers, procured at a cost of Rs. 7.20 lakhs, are expected to reduce the ticket issuing time. This will facilitate passengers to obtain tickets in shortest possible time, according to S. Nagaraju, regional manager, APSRTC Ranga Reddy region.
