Lorry owners' awareness meet on AIDS

Month-long Aasha programme benefits AIDS victims


  • Suraksha project, has been actively associated with Aasha programmes
  • Special emphasis on prevention of AIDS in transport sector
  • Acceptance levels have increased with regard to AIDS victims

    VIJAYAWADA: The month-long awareness programme, launched in the State under AIDS Awareness Sustained Holistic Action (Aasha), will conclude on July 30. As part of this, the Krishna District Lorry Owners Association will organise an awareness meeting at its association hall near Benz Circle at 4 pm on the day. Aasha programme is being carried out with emphasis on prevention of AIDS in the transport sector. Conducted by the State Government, it is receiving support from NGOs.
