GUNTUR: Acharya Nagarjuna University will conduct a session on `Evil effects of ragging, eve-teasing and sexual harassment' on the campus, according to Vice-Chancellor, V. Balamohandas. The recent incident of a hostel student taking Transfer Certificate, allegedly unable to bear ragging in the hostel exposes the ugly face of this social evil, forcing the authorities to create awareness among students. The menace was not restricted to boys, it is prevalent among girls also.
Cell revived
ANU recently revived the `Permanent anti-ragging cell', by accepting complaints relating to ragging and eve teasing. Mr. Balamohandas said on Thursday that the SP, V.C. Sajjannar, would address students at the Students' Centre on Friday.
