Businessman stabbed to death

NEW DELHI: A 50-year-old man driving his scooter was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants on Tilak Marg here on Tuesday. The police suspect personal enmity to be the reason behind the killing that occurred a few metres from the Tilak Marg police station during peak hours.

According to the police, Radha Raman Gupta, a garment and jewellery shop-owner in Darya Ganj and a resident of Green Park, was going on his scooter along with his 21-year-old daughter, Neha, when the incident occurred around 8-15 p.m. Mr. Gupta's two younger brothers, Rakesh and Pradeep, were also on a scooter following Mr. Gupta. All of them were on their way to home after closing the shop for the day.

After taking a turn from the ITO on Tilak Marg, Rakesh and Pradeep noticed that two persons on a motorcycle had drawn parallel to Mr. Gupta's scooter. They thought the duo were passing remarks at Neha. Soon after, they found Mr. Gupta bleeding from the chest as he lay on the road along with Neha. They immediately hired an autorickshaw and rushed Mr. Gupta to All India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was declared dead on arrival. Man electrocuted

On Wednesday night, Sunil decided to sleep on the terrace. When he came down on Thursday morning, he found Raj Prakash lying dead.
