I am glad at last someone has raised his voice against the round-the-clock news syndrome that has afflicted news channels ("Do we really need 24/7 rolling news?" July 30). It is indeed an ordeal to see the same face reading the same news — accompanied by the same visuals — over and over again till something fresh crops up.
