NEW DELHI: The Communist Party of India (Marxist- Leninist) will observe August 6, sixtieth anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, with countrywide protests against "the worldwide military offensive of U.S. imperialism" and the Government's "strategic surrender to this American design." In a statement here on Sunday, the party demanded the scrapping of the "dangerous strategic partnership agreement" between India and the United States, which "reduced India to a strategic stooge of the U.S." It demanded a law to ensure year-round employment for the jobless, a comprehensive legislation for agricultural workers and social security for the unorganised sector. It demanded the recall of Bihar Governor Buta Singh for "strengthening forces of corruption and crime" in the State. On the Babri Masjid demolition issue, it hoped the process that started with charges being framed against BJP president L.K. Advani and others would reach its logical conclusion and "all those responsible" would not go unpunished.
