Gandhigram RI bags titles

DINDIGUL: Gandhigram Rural Institute won both the men's and women's titles in the Dindigul district volleyball championship held at Cheran Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School ground, Chinnalapatti, near here, on Sunday.

The results: Men (final): Gandhigram Rural Institute bt Range Police, Dindigul 25-20, 25-23, 25-19. Semifinals: GRI bt Kalaivanar VC, Sempatti 25-17, 25-15; Range Police bt Anbu Friends VC 25-21, 25-17.

Women (final): GRI bt St. Francis HSS 25-23, 25-22. Semifinals: GRI bt Our Lady Lourdhu HSS 25-22, 25-20; St. Francis HSS bt PSNA College of Engg 25-21, 25-20. — Sports Correspondent
