All set for examining approver in assault case

CHENNAI: With the furnishing of the charge sheet copies to the accused, the stage is set for the prosecution examination of the approver in the case relating to the attack on S. Radhakrishnan of Mandaveli, his wife and an attendant, by a gang nearly three years ago. On completion of the examination, the case will be committed to the court of sessions.

Accepting the charge sheet filed, by the SIT, the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate's court furnished copies to the 11 accused, including Kanchi Sankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, during the last hearing on July 18.

Approver Ravi Subramaniam was present. Magistrate S. Umamaheswari adjourned the case to August 1.
