Draft electoral rolls display

CHENNAI: : The draft electoral rolls will be displayed at polling centres, post offices, the voter registration office, Chennai Corporation's zonal offices in the respective constituencies and the district election office in Ripon Building from August 1 to 16.

Schools, which were polling booths during elections, will allot a room at the entrance for displaying the rolls. An official will distribute and receive filled-in forms at these centres.

The list may be viewed on any working day between 10 a.m. and 5.45 p.m.

Forms will be issued for deleting, adding, changing address, name or other details. Proof of address such as ration card, bank account, telephone bill, electricity bill or house tax bill must accompany request for changes.

The following are the details of the forms:

Form 6 — For first-time voters and those who have moved in from another constituency

Form 7 — To delete names

Form 8 — To change details such as door number, name, relationship, name of the relative, gender or voter ID registration number

Form 8A — For those who have moved to a new address within the same constituency.
