Holiday for schools today

The Hyderabad district administration has announced a holiday for schools on Monday in the city region in view of the Mahankali jatara on Sunday.

Five-year MBA course in distance mode

Hamdard University will offer a five-year MBA programme in collaboration with Edexcel International of the UK. The programme will be offered in the distance mode through the university's study centre at Mesco. 1.5-cr. MPLAD funds offered for NIMS

Rajya Sabha member Rasheed Alvi has offered Rs. 1.5 crores from his MPLAD funds for constructing emergency, accident and trauma care centre at NIMS. Mr. Alvi made this offer after visiting various wings of the hospital along with Director Dasari Prasada Rao. According to a press release, Mr. Alvi expressed happiness at the services rendered in NIMS.

Awards for teachers; proposals invited

Proposals are being invited for State awards-2005 from teachers who have completed 20 years of service in the teaching field and achieved good results, according to Hyderabad District Educational Officer S. Jagannath Reddy. In a press release issued here on Saturday, he said the proposals should be submitted in triplicate duly countersigned by the inspecting officer concerned.

SES extended by a month

Simplified exit

scheme extended

The simplified exit scheme (SES-2005), aimed at extending benefits of closure to defunct companies, has been extended by a month up to August 31.

The scheme was earlier proposed to be closed by July 31. D. Vijaya Bhaskar, Deputy Registrar of Companies, said in a press release here on Saturday that his office will receive the applications of closure from companies for claiming SES till the extended date. Information regarding the extension had been conveyed by the Ministry of Company Affairs.
