MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation will operate special bus services to several temples from August 2 to 8 in connection with `Adi Amavasai' festival. In a statement, its Managing Director, K. Jagannathan, said special buses would be operated to Sathuragiri Sundara Mahalingam Temple in Thaaniparai throughout the festival period. The buses would be operated from Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Sivakasi, Srivilliputtur and Rajapalayam. Direct buses would run from Thalavaipuram and Theni to Thaaniparai. Additional buses would be operated to Vazhaithoppu foothills from Usilampatti and Peraiyur. Special buses would ply to Alagarkovil from Periyar bus stand and Melur. Buses would be operated to Mavuththu Velappar Temple from Andipatti, from Theni to Upputhurai, and from Tirunelveli, Tiruchendur and Tuticorin to Eral Chairman Arunachala Swamy Temple. Buses would run from Tirunelveli, Alangulam, Mukkudal, Vickramasingapuram and Tenkasi to Kani hamlets near Papanasam, from Nilakottai, Batlagundu and Dindigul to Anjineyar Temple in Anaipatti, and from Dindigul and Sempatti to Sadaiyandi Temple in Sempatti.
