Three held for vehicle theft

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Medical College police have arrested three persons in connection with the theft of tipper lorries from the district. Circle Inspector, Medical College, K.E. Baiju identified the accused as Jayachandran (34) of Kottayam, Madhu (32) of Kottukal and Ramesan (24) of Madurai in Tamil Nadu. Mr. Baiju said the theft of four tipper lorries from Nalanchira, Pozhiyoor and Parassala have been traced to the accused. The lorries have been sold and efforts are on to recover the stolen vehicles..

The police have seized a car used by the accused. Assistant Commissioner Shangumugham P. Sarajan headed the probe team.
