NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested by the West Delhi police for allegedly killing a 28-year-old woman in her house at Punjabi Bagh in West Delhi on Saturday. The duo had also escaped with Rs. 94,800, which has been recovered. According to the police, Nusrat, wife of Noor Hasan, a resident of Madipur in Punjabi Bagh, was found dead in her house by a friend around 4 p.m. He called up Noor, who was in his leather goods factory at Tank Road in Karol Bagh. On reaching home, Noor found Rs. 94,800 missing from a suitcase. Inspection of the crime scene led to the recovery of a broken steel bracelet, which Noor identified as that of a cousin, Miraz Alam. The police questioned Miraz, who denied having any idea about the bracelet, but later broke down.Miraz then allegedly confessed to having killed Nusrat with the help of his room-mate, Zia-ul-Haq. Zia also allegedly confessed to his involvement.
