Accident victim dies in hospital

BANGALORE:
Pushpa Sharma (35), a resident of Nagarabavi, who was injured in a road accident on Sunday, died in a hospital.
The victim was riding pillion with her husband, Bhagawan Singh Sharma, when their two-wheeler was hit by a lorry. She was taken to the hospital where she died after three hours. The lorry driver fled the scene soon after the accident. The lorry has been seized by the Cubbon Park traffic police.
Suicide
Mahalakshmi (30), a resident of Lottikunde, who set herself on fire, died of burns at a hospital here today.
The victim, wife of Shivakumar, an autorickshaw driver, reportedly quarrelled with her mother-in-law, Lalithamma (55), in the morning, the police said. Upset over domestic problems, she set herself on fire. Lalithamma has been arrested by the Frazer Town police.
