Letters to the Editor
From the manner in which the Maharashtra Government and the BMC have handled the crisis caused by the rains in Mumbai, it looks like Shanghai will remain a pipe dream. Hats off to the Mumbaikars who took care of their fellow brethren in distress.
The vulnerability of the Mumbai administration has come to the fore. There is an urgent need to assess the city's weaknesses so as to cope with such crises in future.
V. Anantha Narayan,
The callous attitude of the Mumbai civic authorities is appalling. The efforts of people who, without waiting for the Government agencies, helped one another are commendable.
Shadaan Alam,
