ALAPPUZHA: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala called on Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan at his residence in Kanichukulangara here on Monday. Mr. Chennithala arrived here after calling on Nair Service Society (NSS) general secretary P.K. Narayana Panicker at Perunna. Mr. Chennithala held talks with Mr. Natesan for about 15 minutes. Speaking to presspersons later, Mr. Chennithala said the Narendran Commission report would be implemented only through a consensus. The Government is discussing the issue with leaders of various communities and is trying to create a consensus of opinion among various communities. Mr. Chennithala said he did not view the unity of the NSS and the SNDP Yogam as a dangerous development that could affect the communal harmony of the State. ``The unity is a positive thing,'' he said.
