BASTAR: (CHHATTISGARH): The withdrawal of guerrilla forces in North Telangana (NT) should not be viewed as the weakening of the revolutionary movement as it was only a tactical move and the revolutionary movement, in fact, had strengthened in other areas like Dandakaranya, Jharkhand and Balaghat, Bhupati, a Central Committee member of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) said here. Interacting with reporters, who were invited to Bastar forest tracts, Mr. Bhupati said tactical withdrawal was a normal operation in guerrilla warfare. "Even in Bastar, our base area, we might retreat, if the Government dumps forces. But that would also be a tactical withdrawal. None can prevent the spread of the movement." For the Maoists, the NT movement still serves as a revolutionary beacon, Mr. Bhupati maintained. Answering a question on the breakdown of talks process in Andhra Pradesh, the naxalite leader threw the entire blame on Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Home Minister K. Jana Reddy.
