Recognition across the border

BANGALORE: When he is not on duty as Inspector of Customs and Central Excise, H.V. Praveen Kumar is behind the camera. And this hobby has earned him a distinction across the border.

He has been conferred the Honorary Associateship of Pakistan Salon Group, an organisation of photographers in that country. According to the Pakistani organisation, this honour is in recognition of Mr. Kumar's "personal achievements and services rendered for the advancement of the photographic art." Apart from being a keen wildlife photographer, Mr. Kumar has also acted in television serials.
