Sydney: The Australian women's cricket team is all primed to take on traditional rival England after defeating Ireland 1-0 in the One-Day International series in Dublin. Australia will play two Tests, five ODIs and its first international Twenty20 fixture against England over the coming month. In the 14 series played between the nations so far, Australia has won six, England two and the rest six have been drawn.
The squad: Belinda Clark (capt.), Karen Rolton, Alex Blackwell, Kate Blackwell, Sarah Edwards, Cathryn Fitzpatrick, Julie Hayes, Lisa Keightley, Emma Liddell, Shelley Nitschke, Kirsten Pike, Julia Price, Clea Smith and Lisa Sthalekar. UNI
