THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore Devaswom Board has made arrangements for the Vavu Bali which begins at 4 a.m. on Thursday at various temples under its jurisdiction. The Thiruvallam, Thirumullavaram and Varkala temples have been fully equipped for the Vavu Bali. Additional facilities have been provided at the Thiruvallam temple which witnesses the highest turnout for the event. In addition to the seven Bali Pandals inside the temple, an additional pandal has been constructed in the premises. The eight pandals can together accommodate 2,000 devotees at a time. The Board has also made arrangements for the public to offer bali at the bathing ghats. As many as 8,000 bali tickets have been issued in advance. A large number of Devaswom employees have been deployed on special duty for the vavu bali. Senior officials are camping at the temples to supervise the arrangements.
