Camps for SHG members

OMALUR: Petroleum Conservation Research Association, Chennai, and Ilampuyal Trust jointly organised awareness camps for members of self-help groups (SHGs) on how to save cooking gas.

At the camps held at Annathanapatti in Salem and Mettur, women were told to keep the necessary ingredients such as chopped vegetables, cleaned rice and dal ready before lighting the gas stove.

Trust's coordinators S. Fatima and A. Rathinavalli conducted the camps. A total of 100 members of self-help groups took part in these awareness camps.
