Special veterinary camps from today

De-worming, artificial insemination and castration will be carried out

TIRUNELVELI: The Department of Animal Husbandry has planned to conduct special veterinary camps across the district.

De-worming, artificial insemination and castration would be carried out and treatment for infertility given at the camps.

According to the Regional Joint Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, P. Arumugam Pushparaj, samples from infected cattle would be taken in these camps to be sent for analysis.

Special camps would be held in the following areas:

Maththalampaarai (Tenkasi union) - August 4 , Kollankulam (Pappakudi) and Muththoor (Palayamkottai) -Aug. 5, Chokknaathanpatti (Kadayam) and Thenpaththu (Palayamkottai) - Aug. 6, Chinnanadanoor (Keezhapaavoor) and Vettuvaankulam (Maanur) - Aug. 9, Vadamalaisamudhram (Ambasamudhram) and Sethuraayanputhur (Maanur) - Aug. 10.

Pandiapuram (Melaneelithanallur), Kallaththikulam (Alangulam) and Thuppakudi (Kadayam) - Aug. 11, Puthur (Cheranmahadevi) - Aug. 12, Vellappaneri (Melaneelithanallur) Marukkaalankulam (Alangulam) and Kaariyaandi (Nanguneri) - Aug. 16, Shenbagaramanallur (Nanguneri) and Kandigaiperi (Sankarankovil) - Aug. 17, Idaikaal (Pappakudi) and Velayuthapuram (Kadayanallur) - Aug. 18, Aatkondarkulam (Sankarankovil), and Irukkanthurai (Valliyoor) - Aug. 19.

Malaiyadipatti (Kuruvikulam), Melaomanallur (Cheranmahadevi) and Puthur (Shencottai) - Aug. 23, South Valliyoor (Valliyoor) and Puliyankulam (Kalakkad) - Aug. 24, Vellaanaikottai (Vasudevanallur) and Vanniyankudiyiruppu (Kalakkad) - Aug. 25, Thalaivankottai (Vasudevanallur) and Thiruppathiyapuram (Ambasamudhram) - Aug. 26, Aayankulam (Radhapuram) - Aug. 27 and Soundarapandiapuram (Radhapuram) - Aug. 29.
