LUCKNOW: Deadly RDX was used to trigger the blast in the Shramjeevi Express on July 28, which left 10 people dead and scores injured, the Uttar Pradesh Government said on Wednesday. Quoting the report of Forensic lab, Agra, Principal Secretary (Home) Alok Sinha told reporters here traces of RDX were found from the GS-2 general coach where the blast took place. He said ammonium nitrate, mixed with mobile oil, was also used in the blast. The explosive used was a pulp, soaked in a mixture of ammonium nitrate and mobile oil along with RDX, assembled in a suitcase having a detonator attached to a timer. The timer and detonator had already been recovered from the spot, Mr Sinha added. The blast was similar to the one that rocked Sabaramati Express near Barabanki (UP) in 2000 resulting in the loss of 11 lives.
