TAMBARAM: A gold chain weighing nearly six sovereigns was snatched by a duo travelling on a motorcycle at Mookambikai Nagar in West Tambaram on Tuesday. According to the police, Thamarai, who got married only two weeks ago, had come to her parents Sornam house. They had gone to the Tambaram market in order to fix Thamarai's thaali and after getting the gold chain, they were returning to their house. The motorcycle-borne duo came from behind and assaulted the women and snatched the gold chain.
