BEIJING: China's culture and information technology authorities recently issued a circular, requiring online game companies to limit the time spent surfing by minors and prohibiting their access to the game PlayerKill (PK), the Beijing-based Guangming Daily reported. The PK game involves killing monsters and fighting other players, and most of the games contain violence, the paper quoted officials with the Ministry of Culture as saying. The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Information Industry jointly issued the circular suggesting players should only get access to PK by using identification cards so as to prevent minors from the games.
