TIRUPATI: In what is considered a significant milestone, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India's Tirupati-based Sales Training Centre (STC) has so far conducted 1,000 training sessions for its agents. The corporation's Regional Manager (Marketing) (ZM), A.K. Sahoo, inaugurated the 1,000th session here on Thursday, in which agents from Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Nellore and Cuddapah divisions took part. Mr. Sahoo was all praise for the Tirupati STC, which has achieved the rare feat within a period of 15 years of its existence. He spoke on the importance of gaining knowledge in order to get an edge in an era of competition.
Felicitated
Mr. Sahoo felicitated the agents and former employees, who had performed exceedingly well and helped the corporation mop up a higher share of insurance business. Later, a souvenir brought out in commemoration of the event was released. Agents from Nizamabad, Wanaparthy and Nalgonda converged at the temple city for the meet. "Meet the Zonal Manager" competitions were conducted for them in the latter sessions. Senior Divisional Manager (Nellore division), K.S.Murthy and the Marketing Manager, J.M.Yogananda Murthy spoke, while the STC principal, S.V.Ramana Raju, welcomed the delegates.
