`Madras Day'

`The Madras Day' celebrations will begin on August 22 and will go on till August 28. Those who have photographs or newspaper clippings of the city in the 50s, 60s or 70s, keep them ready for a photo contest. Click the same building or the area as it is now to participate in `Madras-Then and Now.'

The `old' and `new' pictures in 5'' by 7'' size should be sent with a brief note about the landmark to V. Nageswaran of Srinivasa Young Men's Association, VNW Telesystems, 36, B.V. Naicken Street, Triplicane. Last date is August 20. For details, log on to www.themadrasday.in.
