Ilayaraja's daughter gets engaged

CHENNAI: Music director and singer Bhavatharini, daughter of maestro Ilayaraja, got engaged to an advertising executive R. Sabariraja in Chennai on Wednesday. Sabariraja has dreams of expanding the company further. The engagement ceremony was held at Park Sheraton Hotel. Ilayaraja welcomed the guests on the occasion.

This is the second wedding in the Illayaraja family this year. His youngest son Yuvan Shankar Raja wed earlier this year.

Bhavatharini won the national award in 2000 for playback singing for the song "Mayil Pola" from the movie "Bharathi."
