Water levels in reservoirs increase

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Water levels in three major reservoirs in Kerala - Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada - recorded substantial increases during the course of last week, according an official press release on Thursday.
In Idukki, the level increased from 2,332.19 feet to 2,362.48 feet, in Idamalayar from 484.81 feet to 516.63 feet and in Kallada from 352.36 feet to 363.52 feet.
When compared with the water levels recorded on the same day last year, the level was higher by 7.94 feet in Idukki and 3.57 feet in Idamalayar. However, in Kallada, it was lower by 2.62 feet.
