Thieves eyeing `bigger' things
Offenders created a history of sorts when they drove away a bus belonging to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation from the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station.
While the corporation authorities and the police frantically searched the nook and corner of the city, it was finally traced at Siddipet, 90 km from Hyderabad.
Surprisingly, the entire bus was intact except the right tyre in the front. Sleuths opined the thieves took away only one tyre because he had only one jack to lift the wheels. Well. Despite claims by the city police that the overall crime rate had come down, thieves are getting stronger by the day breaking into banks and even stealing buses!
