Volkswagen set to vroom?
The vroom sound of the Volkswagen is once again ringing on the roads of Andhra Pradesh.
This time fuelled by the German car major itself.
The Telugu hopes of having a Volkswagen car-manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh had hit ground zero after the recent scandal revolving around payment of cash to a mysterious firm.
This was after several months and years of visits and discussions by VW officials to the State and the project being almost confirmed for Andhra Pradesh.
Just when it seemed the chapter would be closed soon, here came a special envoy from VW, Frank Elbe, who has reiterated that his company is still interested in opening shop here.
