Students seek hike in scholarship

KOCHI: Students belonging to the National Students Union of India, Lakshadweep State committee, took out a march to the office of the Lakshadweep administration on Thursday, demanding an increase in the educational scholarship of students.

`Raise number of seats'

They also demanded an increase in number of seats in the higher education sector and opening of education centres of Calicut University in the Lakshadweep Island.

M.K. Koya, president of the Lakshadweep Pradesh Youth Congress, inaugurated the march. Anwar Sadath, Muhammad Iqbal, Nazeer Sulthan and K. Kunji spoke.
