Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commerce on Thursday urged Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to accord priority for the development of the State Capital while implementing the 10-point agenda mooted by President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in his address to the Assembly.
A press note quoting Chamber president M.R. Narayanan called on the Government to acquire more land for the development of Technopark to accommodate a workforce of one lakh. It stressed the need for a Tourism Master Plan for the Capital city.
The press note also appealed to the Government to take steps to set up an international Ayurveda research and treatment centre in Thiruvananthapuram.
