Janata Dal(S) leaders urged to sink differences

Special Correspondent

MANGALORE: The district unit of the Janata Dal (S) on Wednesday resolved to appeal to the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda to sink their differences.

Announcing this in a press conference, president of the unit, Vasant Bangera, said that to give both Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Gowda free hand to re-constitute the party, he thought it fit to dissolve the district and taluk committees of the party with effect from August 3 and this has also been conveyed to both the leaders.

Mr. Bangera said the party unit hoped that both the leaders and their faction will sink their differences in the interest of the party.

Mr. Bangera stated that he would not comment on the Ahind conference, but he only said that the conference appeared to have caused the rift between Mr. Deve Gowda and Mr. Siddaramaiah.
