Theatre workshop

CHENNAI:
The theatre workshop at the British Council from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 8 and 9 will be divided into four segments.
From 9-30 a.m. to 11 a.m., theatre personality and voice over artiste P.C. Ramakrishna will be conducting a voice workshop.
Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Yamuna from the Madras Players will be conducting a class on Text and Sub Text.
A session on Acting (Performance and Body Language movement) will follow, after a one-hour lunch break. Director Balakrishnan from Theatre Nisha will be taking this part of the workshop.
Then, after a half-an-hour break for tea, Krishna Kumar from Masquerade will be taking a class on "Sets and Lights."
Participants are requested to report at 9 a.m. and come in comfortable, loose clothing since the workshop will involve some physical activity.
Meanwhile, at Amethyst, two theatre groups will be staging a `Work In Progress.'
The event will feature Aadhe Adhure by the Madras Players, which is being directed by Anoushka Ravishankar and a play by Theatre En.
Each group will put up 20 minutes of their plays.
The performances are open to the public and begin at 7 p.m. on August 9.
