Two die after fall from moving train

Two persons died after falling from a moving train at Nimboliadda railway bridge in Kachiguda on Friday. While one was identified as Mahmood Guddu, 25, of Ghaziabad in U.P., a paper slip with the name Pervez written on it was found in the other man's clothes.

Kachiguda Railway Police Inspector P. Maheswar saidthe two were travelling in the Falaknuma-Secunderabad MMTS train.

Two held, vehicles recovered

The Habeebnagar police on Friday arrested two persons and seized five stolen two-wheelers from their possession. V. Bhaskar and V. Ashok Kumar, both living at Afzalsagar, confessed to police that they lifted four vehicles from Habeebnagar and the fifth from Humayunnagar, a press release said.

Official in ACB trap

Assistant Engineer of Panchayat Raj, Nandyal, A. Sarveswara Reddy was arrested on Thursday on charges of accepting part of a bribe of Rs. 2 lakhs with regard to taking up road repairs. He will be produced in the court of the Additional Special Judge for ACB cases in Hyderabad, according to a press release here on Friday.
