Evacuation of villagers begins

VIJAYAWADA:
The following is the list of villages where the district administration has taken up evacuation. Most of them are island villages amidst the course of the river, while some are on the banks.
They are: Amudala lanka and Latchigani lanka of Challapalli mandal; Bobbarlanka and K. Kothapelm of Mopidevi mandal, Yedlalanka, Regulalanka, Pallipalem and South Chiruvolu of Avanigadda mandal, Nagulmeera Jenda dimma of Nagayalanka mandal in Divi Seema area; Kalingadibbalanka, Tummalapatchikalanka, Pillivari lanka, Pottidibba lanka, Kanigiri lanka and Malkanpalli lanka of Thotlavallur mandal; Gani Atkur of Kanchikacherla mandal, Mullapadu, Damulur and Ferry of Ibrahimpatnam mandal and Ushthepalli of Chandarlapadu mandal.
