This Day That Age
The Madras Chief Minister, Mr. Kamaraj Nadar, introduced into the market on August 6 the first Standard Ten car, assembled by the Standard Motor Products of India Limited, at their factory in Vandalur, near Madras. He sat at the wheel of the new car and pressed the starter. Mr. K.N. Ramanathan, Chief Engineer of the firm, explained to the Chief Minister the salient features of the new car and took him in the car for a short drive.
