German trade team coming in November

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A German business delegation will visit the State in November to look for entrepreneurship promotion avenues.

The German Ambassador to India, Heimo Richter, disclosed this to the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, when he called on him here on Saturday.

An official press release said the diplomat evinced keen interest in the fields of food processing and textiles. He assured Dr. Reddy that the food-processing sector had a bright future and German entrepreneurs were looking forward to a business tie-up with the State.

International fair

Mr. Richter invited a business group from the State dealing in automobiles to Germany when an international fair would be held next month.

A German MNC `Metro', with business transactions totalling 65 billion euros, was looking forward to investing in a big way in the State, he added.

Dr. Reddy stated that Andhra Pradesh was turning into a favourite destination for investment.
