Letters to the Editor
I agree that the use of staplers has more disadvantages than uses (Letters, Aug. 9). Stapling of covers containing eatables is widely prevalent. It is a very risky method of sealing covers, considering that children form a considerable part of the population that consumes bakery items, sweets, and chips. Like any other undesirable practice, the hazards of using staplers also deserve to be widely publicised. People should be encouraged to use glues or adhesive tapes to seal covers, particularly those that are likely to be handled by children and the elderly.
