Directive on vehicle number plates

Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police will launch a crackdown on all two-wheelers with registration number plates that do not conform to the specifications under the Motor Vehicles Rules, City Police Commissioner said in a press release here. This is in view of the increasing instances of two-wheelers being used for chain snatching and sexual harassment by anti-social elements. The difficulty in identifying the registration numbers of such vehicles is making it difficult to book the culprits.
