KOCHI: The Goshree Action Council has protested against the shifting of Rs.80 crores received by the Goshree Islands Development Authority (GIDA) from the sale of reclaimed land to the State Treasury and called it an act of injustice to the people of the islands off the Ernakulam mainland. Majnu Komath, chairman of the council, said here on Tuesday that the council had appealed to the people to raise their voice against this move and that the council would take up legal action against the Government's decision. He said that the money from the land sale by GIDA should have been used exclusively for the development of islands.
