Train cancelled

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Train number 6346 Thiruvananthapuram - Lokmanya Tilak Netravathi Express of August 10 has been cancelled due to cancellation of the incoming pair-train (Nethravathi) scheduled to arrive here on Tuesday.

As per the directions of Union Minister of State for Railways R. Velu, the Southern Railways will run a special train (0601) Chennai Central - Mangalore -Chennai Central that will depart from Chennai at 5 p.m. on August 12 and arrive at Mangalore at 8.30 a.m. the next day.

Train number 0602 Mangalore - Chennai Central special will leave Mangalore at 4.30 p.m. on August 15 and arrive at Chennai Central at 8.45 a.m. the next day. The train will have one AC 2-tier coach, two AC 3-tier coaches, 10 sleeper class coaches, three general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palakkad, Shorannur, Kuttipuram, Tiuru, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

Advance reservation for the above trains will begin on August 10. Train number 0635/ 0636 Chennai Central- Kochuveli- Chennai Central specials will run to and from Thiruvananthapuram Central instead of till Kochuveli as per the following timings. Train number 0635 will arrive at Thiruvananthapuram Ccentral at 7.30 a.m. on August 13, while train number 0636 will depart Thiruvananthapuram central at 7.45 p.m. on August 15.
