Notices issued in property case

Respondents including Delhi Govt. directed to file replies within a week

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Special Cell, Delhi police, Rajbir Singh, the Delhi Police Commissioner, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and four other officials of the Special Cell on a petition accusing the ACP and his subordinates of illegally taking sides with one of their (petitioners) neighbours and harassing and implicating them in a false case in the matter of a property dispute between them and the neighbour at Mansarovar Garden in West Delhi.

Issuing the notices on the petition by Surinder Kaur and Manjit Singh filed through their counsel, Rakesh Tiku, Justice R.S. Sodhi of the Court directed the above-mentioned respondents as well as the Delhi Government to file replies to the petition within one week. He later posted the case on August 24 for further hearing.
