dated August 12, 1955: Bezwada station's name

The Railway Board has asked the Andhra Government about its views on the question of changing the name of Bezwada station to Vijayawada. The name of this town was changed to Vijayawada seven years ago by the composite Madras State Government. While State Government offices, Post and Telegraph offices and other Central departments have changed the name, the Railway has not yet changed the name of the station.
