Lawyers' protest

The notification issued by the Registrar of Kerala High Court making November 5 a working day for the court has invited criticism from lawyers. The Kerala chapter of the Indian Association of Lawyers Union has protested against the notification. The criticism is all the more intense because the sitting is being held in lieu of the public holiday declared to mourn the death of P.K. Vasudevan Nair, former Chief Minister. Association secretary A. Jayasankar said the decision was an insult to the memory of the departed leader.
