Of rotting food
The seizure of stale food from some prominent city hotels has raised a ruckus. The Kerala Hotel & Restaurant Association has joined issue with the Health officials of the city corporation. The ire of the association is that the Health Department of the civic body `seemed to be concerned only with the health of people eating at licensed restaurants, while turning a blind eye towards the mushrooming `thattukadas' that dot the roadsides. What more, the association alleges motives on the part of the Health authorities saying that the latter is actually encouraging unlicensed eateries in the city. K. Venkiteswaran
