CHENNAI: : Mike Connor is the new British Deputy High Commissioner in south India. He was earlier Head, South Asia Unit and the India Team in United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI), Department of Trade and Industry. The UKTI is a state-owned firm that supports companies in the U.K. trading abroad and foreign enterprises that seek to locate in the U.K. In his 34-year career in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, he has served in a wide range of positions in London and abroad. "I am delighted to come at a time when our bilateral relationship with India in general and, South India in particular, is flourishing," he said in a release issued on Wednesday.
