KARIMNAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party district unit alleged that the State Government was obstructing the police investigation into the bomb blast that took place in the RTC bus station complex on Tuesday for "obvious reasons". Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, the BJP district president, P Sugunakar Rao charged that the State Government was pressuring the police to go slow on investigation to avoid loss of votes in the municipal elections. The delay would allow the culprits go scot-free, he noted. He charged that both the Congress and the TDP were appeasing the minorities for cashing in on their votes. Regarding the municipal elections in the district, he said that the party had organised padayatras in all municipal wards of the district and boosted the cadre morale. He said that the people had lost confidence on Congerss, TDP and other parties.
Liberation Day
On Telangana Liberation Day celebrations, he said that the party had decided to organise `Chalo Secretariat' programme on August 18 demanding that State Government celebrate the day as a State festival.
